Deck Measurements and Weight Loads

There are a number of legal restrictions as to what load size can be transported on what type of trailer. One trailer may be appropriate for building materials whereas another may be perfect for palletized goods or underground pipes.

It could be that using a stepdeck trailer is cheaper than a flatbed due to permits or that a gooseneck is more practical than a triaxle due to the dimensions of the product.
